About Us
Meet the Team!
Helen has built a thriving catering business in Matlock, Derbyshire, starting with nothing but a coffee van and quickly growing into a prominent name in large-scale event catering. In 2012, she joined forces with Natalie to broaden the business’s horizons, launching Zest together. Their partnership took a major step forward in 2017 when they acquired Haarlem Mill.
Coming from a family rooted in the food industry, Helen brings a deep well of experience and knowledge. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and upbeat personality have a way of inspiring those around her, turning every event into something memorable. Clients admire her professionalism, but those who work closely with her know it’s her strength, capability, and infectious sense of humour that truly set her apart.
Natalie has worked alongside Helen for many years, starting out in the early days of the coffee van and catering company before taking on the exciting challenge of managing a venue. Bright, approachable, and endlessly cheerful, she brings strong organisational skills that perfectly complement Helen’s creative flair.
With experience managing international events in her early career, Natalie adds a global perspective and a calm, capable presence to every project. Her sharp eye for detail, quick wit, and practical mindset make her an invaluable partner—and together, she and Helen form a dynamic, unstoppable team.
Shannon is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to organising weddings here at Haarlem Mill —intelligent, grounded, and endlessly upbeat, she’s a true asset to the team. Incredibly organised and always willing to go the extra mile, she’s perfectly suited to her role as a wedding planner. Shannon brings both energy and a calming presence to every situation.
Her career began on the international stage, where she gained extensive experience and training in the hospitality industry. Now back home, she’s living her dream, creating unforgettable weddings with passion and precision.
