Guest Post: Which on-the-day stationery do you NEED? by Faye at Wild Calligraphy

I’m here to talk all things on-the-day stationery and help you decide what you need. It’s easy to get swept away by pretty paper (especially if you’re a stationery addict like me!), and aaaaaall the cute signage, but not everyone has an unlimited budget. So if you’re trying to prioritise a few key items, I’m here to help by going through.

Let’s start with SIGNAGE.

Welcome signs are what most people think of when they start organising their on-the-day bits. They’re versatile and can be designed to fit your perfect theme, as well as giving your guests the re-assurance that they’re at the right venue. Choose from minimal designs or seek stationers that add more details such as botanicals and illustrations.

Order of the days are a huge wedding staple! You will no doubt know every single element of your wedding day TO. A. TEE. But your guests won’t. It’s so helpful to have a note of what’s happening. It’s also great for your bridal party so they don’t disappear before key moments and feel awful forever. Money saving tip... Combine your welcome sign and order of the day if you’re on a budget.

If you’re having a medium to large wedding, you should consider a seating plan. Seating plans are a really good opportunity to get creative! Pinterest is the ideal space to research unique ideas if you’d like to wow your guests with something different. Choose from a seating plan board, individual seating plan cards OR hire a local stationer to write on items like the leaves below, glass bottles, frames and beyond!
