Alicia & Sam
Alicia and Sam’s big day took place at Haarlem Mill on Wednesday the 29th of May 2019. Being in the education industry, they needed to hold their wedding midweek during half term, making our exclusive hire venue perfect for them.
The celebrations started at 10am when Alicia and her bridesmaids arrived to make full use of our gorgeous Bridal Suite. With excitement building, the girls had a chance to chat as they were pampered and prepped by wedding hair expert, Alison Jenner and make-up artist, Jessica Ava. The bride looked breathtaking in her one of a kind dress loving handmade by her step-mum, Ann Knapman - imagine having your very own personal dressmaker!
The ceremony room and banquet hall were dressed like a dream by a fabulous team (rhyme unintentional) - and what a creative family these guys have. In the banquet hall they had a seating plan created by Sam’s cousin at BOOM Creative, they utilised the reclaimed wooden shelving for a sweet stall and created an amazing photo wall using wooden crates, recycled gin bottles and flowers provided by the mum of one of the bridesmaids, very fitting for our industrial style. Mother of the bride made all of the favours (intricate iced biscuits) and personalised them using a stamp purchased from The Red Collar on Etsy, with place cards being created and attached by Alicia and friends. Clearly an amazing baker, Alicia’s mum also made their wedding cake and added a copper lettered cake topper from The Letter Loft UK on Etsy.
Etsy proving to be a real wedding inspiration for the couple, they also purchased a beautifully engraved ring box from The Laser Engraving Co (via the website) which their ring bearer carried down the aisle during the ceremony.

We loved hosting Alicia and Sam and their gorgeous wedding. What a fabulous couple.
