Our industrial wedding venue, Haarlem Mill, welcomes you to the Peak District—the place where nature calls, life slows down, and the small (and big!) moments can be thoroughly enjoyed.
Our former cotton mill, built in 1780, is laid out over two floors, offering a beautiful bridal suite, sun-soaked terrace and banquet room. Each room has been designed with wooden furniture and industrial features, with an abundance of gorgeous detail, like dried flowers, fairy lights, draping curtains and lanterns, to add sparkle to your memorable day.

Haarlem Mill is filled with rich history, which you can feel through its design and setting - so much so that a story was set here.
The 1860 novel, ‘The Mill on the Floss’ written by George Eliot, was based in Haarlem Mill - a book showcasing grand passions and tormented lives. A lesser-known fact, is that it was actually Mary Ann Evans who wrote it, George Eliot was just a pen name. She adopted this name so her novels would be taken more seriously in a male-dominated field.

The light through the windows, the exposed brick and the courtyard surrounded by the fields was everything we wanted and more. The menus looked delicious and were able to personalise the mill with our own decorations and personal touches. Haarlem Mill managed to tick every box.”

Our industrial aesthetic is perfect for couples seeking a rustic-chic, vintage, modern industrial, or urban loft atmosphere. The space works beautifully for both casual and formal celebrations, with the raw architectural elements providing a stunning contrast to elegant décor.

Your rental includes access to both floors, featuring the bridal suite, terrace, and banquet room, tables and chairs for your guest count, basic lighting and sound system - both floors provide toilet facilities.
We provide complimentary on-site parking for up to 50 cars, with additional street parking available nearby. Valet parking can be arranged through our preferred vendors.
The wooden floors and large space creates natural acoustics that work well for live music and DJs.
Standard rental includes 10 hours of venue access, typically from 11 AM to 12 PM. Extended hours can be arranged for an additional fee. This allows time for vendor setup, your celebration, and breakdown.
We recommend booking 12-18 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season (May through October). However, we occasionally have availability for shorter timeframes, so don't hesitate to enquire.
We provide wooden farm tables and vintage-style chairs that complement our industrial aesthetic. Linens, china, and glassware can be arranged through our preferred catering partners or rented separately.
Yes, we have a full liquor license.
We encourage creativity while respecting the historic integrity of the space. No nails, screws, or permanent fixtures can be added to original brick walls or wooden beams. We provide guidelines for approved hanging methods and décor placement.
